A New 'Trainspotting' Film In The Works?

Will Rento, Sickboy and Spud return, or not? Varying reports indicate that there may or may not be a sequel to Trainspotting in the works.

Apparently, the writer of the original, Irvine Welsh, is contemplating a sequel in book form and teased fans by saying that there are few book sequels that don't end up as movies. Allegedly, the new book is entitled, "Trainspotting: Porno" and centers on Sickboy who is now making pornographic movies. Rento, Begbie and Spud also show up in the new story.

One thing is pretty certain though. It's almost a lock that the original cast won't return. The stock for Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle have risen dramatically in the last five years.
