The hour-long anthology series Climax! ran on CBS from 1954 to 1958, broadcasting live from Los Angeles. It featured many of Hollywood's biggest stars at the height of their greatest fame. This collection brings together two of the most highly-regarded episodes, including the original commercials.

TRIAL BY FIRE: A fire blazes out of control in a small town. Trapped with no hope of rescue, the residents set out to punish the one they believe responsible...a small boy. The morality play of 'Trial By Fire' stars Linda Darnell, a former 20th Century Fox contract player who rose to prominence co-starring with Tyrone Power in Brigham Young and The Mark of Zorro (both 1940). She later distinguished herself with her work in Forever Amber (1947), Unfaithfully Yours (1948), and A Letter to Three Wives (1949). Tragically, Darnell died in a fire eight years after this episode of Climax! aired.

TRAIL OF TERROR: A grief-stricken father murders the doctor he blames for his daughter's death. Now only a weary police lieutenant can prevent the doctor's widow from taking revenge on the man who killed her husband. Robert Preston is best known for starring in The Music Man on Broadway and in the 1962 film adaptation. 'Trail of Terror' features a stunning score by famed film composer Jerry Goldsmith.
