When her husband leaves her, a woman struggles to put her family back together. Soon, she finds that she has lost control over her four daughters.
A neighbor, who happens to be an ex-baseball star, steps in to become her drinking buddy and de facto surrogate father to the four girls. Along the way, their friendship evolves into romance and love.
