Creators Hopeful For 'Independence Day 2'

Producer Dean Devlin and director Roland Emmerich didn't let comments by star Will Smith that he wouldn't do a sequel to Independence Day deter them. In fact, Devlin announced this past week that he and his partner have finally decided on a story line for Independence Day 2.

While he did say that the attacks of 9-11 were important in them finding a "new voice" for the new movie, he didn't elaborate on the plot at all. With Smith balking, there's still plenty of strong characters to bring back for the sequel including Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum and Vivica A. Fox.
