Columbia Tristar and Warner Bros. are definitely thinking on the same wave length. Being on the verge of entering one of the most crowded fourth quarters of all time, both of these companies have discarded the traditional Tuesday street date in favor of a Friday release for two of their biggest titles this Winter.

We recently reported that Warner opted for the Friday route for Scooby Doo and now, Columbia is using the same strategy for Spider-Man. On November 1st, you will have a plethora of buying choices for the Sam Raimi movie. One of the most intriguing options is the Limited Edition Collector's DVD Gift Set. Not only will this set include the movie and all of its staggering extras, but it will also feature a reprint of Marvel Comic's "Amazing Fantasy #15," the issue in which Spider-Man first appeared, an exlusive collectible drawing by former Spider-Man artist John Romita, Sr. and current Spider-Man artist John Romita, Jr., and a numbered film cel from the movie.
