'Freddy Vs. Jason' Starts To Take Shape

For a movie that's been rotting in development hell (pun intended) for the last 10 years, Freddy Vs. Jason is starting to pick up some serious steam. First, and probably most importantly, New Line confirmed that Robert Englund will reprise his role as the menacing Freddy Krueger.

Veteran actor Brad Renfro and Destiny's Child crooner Kelly Rowland have been tapped to headline the non-serial killer portion of the cast. Rumor has it that they'll play leaders of a group of friends determined to turn the two sadistic killers against one another.

Oh, and did we mention that filming is set to begin in two short weeks?
