'Beethoven's Fifth': Yet Another Senseless Sequel

Universal is beginning production on a fifth installment to the St. Bernard dog family-comedy movie series. Aptly titled Beethoven's 5th, the film will star Strange Brew star Dave Thomas as the Dad. What, Judge Reinhold was busy?

Universal must put an end to this series. The studio is notorious for holding onto a franchise for far too long. Universal is still beating a dead horse, er, dinosaur, with the The Land Before Time animated films. Hey, who can really tell the difference between The Land Before Time IX and The Land Before Time VII?

What's next for poor Beethoven? I'm no veterinarian, but isn't that dog's uterus going to fall out after another litter? Somewhere a very tanned and very wrinkled Bob Barker is cursing at the announcement of this sequel.
