Nolan Tapped For 'Batman'

The man singlehandedly responsible for the resurgence of Film Noir, Christopher Nolan, has been handed the keys to the Bat Cave. Warner Bros. confirmed this week that they've given Nolan the go ahead to develop a new film in the Batman franchise.

However, the details on the project are hazy at best. We know that it's not going to be the Batman Vs. Superman movie that director Wolfgang Petersen still has on his back burner. We also know that it's not the Batman: Year One project being developed by Darren Aronofsky.

So, what exactly is it? Mum's the word from the Warners, but with Memento and Insomnia under his belt, we're getting excited about the prospects of Nolan adding his signature to this franchise in sore need of a hit.
