Because there isn't enough epic, three-hour-plus Kevin Costner movies on the market, it looks like a sequel to Dances With Wolves is in the mix. "The Holy Road," the follow-up novel to Dances With Wolves, is set for a September release. Can the movie be far behind?

The rights have already been secured and Michael Blake, the screenwriter who took home an Oscar for his adaptation of Dances With Wolves, is working feverishly on the script.

There hasn't been any official indication that Kevin Costner will be involved in the sequel and if and when it develops, but it's hard to imagine anyone else stepping into John Dunbar's shoes.

Little is known of the plot, except that it is set 10 years after the events of the original story and Dunbar has become a famous tribal warrior.
