The ensemble film Crash pulled off the big upset Sunday night by winning the Best Picture Oscar over critical favorite Brokeback Mountain.
The film also earned an Academy Award for screenwriters Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco. Crash's Haggis was also nominated for Best Director but lost out to Brokeback Mountain's Ang Lee.
The acting honors went off as anticipated with Reese Witherspoon winning for Walk the Line and Philip Seymour Hoffman taking home the prize for Capote. Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener) and George Clooney (Syriana) captured the Supporting Actress/Actor honors.
