The Passion of the Christ, the sequel?

Even though Jesus died on the cross at the end of The Passion of The Christ, anyone with a bible handy can point out that the story doesn't end there. And Sony Pictures is producing The Resurrection, an unofficial sequel to the hit movie of Jesus' last hours alive.

Ostensibly, the film will pick up where The Passion left off and cover Jesus' resurrection and the time up to his ascension to Heaven. Neither Mel Gibson or any of the original producers are involved with this project so it's not immediately clear if the film will be in English or Aramaic.

The projected release date is Easter 2007.
