Hit TV show Lost is known as much for its genre-breaking style as it is for its secrets. So, it should come as no surprise that co-producer Damon Lindelof is already planning Lost's demise.

"We'd love to end the show after four years, five years tops and do a movie." Obviously, they're trying to avoid the The X Files fiasco in which a cool concept went downhill after its big screen debut and overstayed its welcome by three years or so.

Using the current release schedule for Lost, the movie would debut in theaters in 2009 or 2010, after 24: The Movie, which is tentatively on the slate for Summer 2008.
