Oh yes, there will be blood on Saw III poster

As far as method actors go, Saw serial killer and expert gamesman Tobin Bell is raising the bar. The actor recently agreed to allow Lionsgate (the studio behind the Saw horror franchise) to use a vial of his blood in a special batch of posters for the promotion of the upcoming Saw III.

Lionsgate marketing executive Tim Palen explains the decision to use Bell's blood.

"We decided to do a poster and he's [Bell's character Jigsaw] wearing a red cloak. I was talking to the printer and asked what we could do to get the deepest blood red. I asked if it would be possible to use actual blood. There was silence. He said, 'We could try, but are you serious?' I said I was dead serious."

The posters (approximately 1,000) will be sold for $20.00 a piece and the original poster will be auctioned off. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross.

Saw III hits theaters on October 27th.
