'Knocked Up' posters make us really expectant

Judd Apatow is a genius in my book. His résumé includes recent big screen hits like The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Fun with Dick and Jane and TV should-have-beens like Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. Those credits alone should guarantee this guy gets blank checks from movie studios to make whatever the hell he wants for the rest of his life.

Further proof of his golden status seems to be his next movie, Knocked Up. It definitely looks like a hit of Virgin caliber. It stars the red-hot Katherine Heigl and Apatow's buddy Seth Rogen. (We also just learned that Knocked Up has earned an R rating from MPAA which means it won't be a watered-down disappointment like lots of other Hollywood comedies.)

That original movie news site Ain't It Cool News shows us the first posters for this summer comedy. They all look great but I like the second one the best. It kind of has an After-School Special feeling to it. The last image below is the international version, so says AICN.

Knocked Up is in theaters June 1.
