After five years of not selling a movie, it looks like writer John Grisham is close to selling the film rights to his latest three books: "A Painted House," "The Partner," and "The Brethren."

The last book that Grisham sold was "The Runaway Jury" in 1996, but that movie never made it out of development. Grisham has penned many successful book adaptations over the years, including, The Firm, The Pelican Brief, and The Rainmaker.
