Film web site Moviehole (lovely name, isn't it?) is reporting that they received a tip on the casting of Wonder Woman in the forthcoming Justice League of America movie. They say the role of the Amazonian princess will go to Teresa Palmer.

Palmer is a striking, 21-year-old native of Australia who starred in the movies Wolf Creek, The Grudge 2, and, most recently, December Boys. JLA director George Miller also comes from the land down under. According to her profile on IMDb, the natural blonde is not even 5'6". (Wonder Woman in the comics is supposed be at least six feet tall.)

If the story is to be believed, she'll be beating out other rumored candidates including Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Minka Kelly.

Moviehole says their source is "the director of one of Palmer's most recent movies." That vague mention may reference Michael Dowse who directed Palmer in the recently filmed Kids in America (releasing next year).

According to an Oct. 15 story in the The Hollywood Reporter, several young actors tested for roles in JLA. Those included Adam Brody, Joseph Cross, D.J. Cotrona, Michael Angarano, Max Theriot, rapper Common (what's up with a rapper with such a nondescript name?), and Adrianne Palicki. The report also specifically mentioned Palmer, Winstead and Kelly.

While this casting is still just a rumor, we know Palmer is at least a candidate. We'll let you know when we get any official announcements on the JLA cast.
