Hilary Duff cast as new Bonnie in 'Bonnie & Clyde'?

When I heard that they were putting together a new Bonnie and Clyde, there were many intriguing options that immediately sprang to mind as the new criminal lass. Drew Barrymore. Kate Hudson. Or even 941{Michelle Williams fits the bill.

The last person (or nearly so) on that list would be the person they ultimately chose for the role, Hilary Duff. And if you were hoping that her shortcomings would be covered up by a strong lead actor, guess again. Kevin Zegers is stepping into the shoes of Clyde. He, of course, of Air Bud fame.

While the new movie is a fresh take on the tale and not a remake of the 1967 classic, the characters are legendary and the young cast has impossibly large shoes to fill. Who do you think would be best to take on the roles of the star-crossed lovers?
