Dan Meth's movie trilogy infographic

OK, I admit it. I'm not like most people. I have a thing for infographics. The creative little graphs on USA Today's front page are one of the first things I look at in the paper.

Illustrator/cartoonist Dan Meth's "Trilogy Meter" is an infographic even Edward Tufte can be proud of. Dan has conveyed the comparative appeal of installments in some popular movie trilogies.

Here's how Meth explains it on his blog:

I know other movie geeks are going to have disagreements and that’s fine. And yes, I know some of these movies went more than 3 sequels, but none were ever meant to.

These are rated purely on my enjoyment level on each film and nothing else. Frankly I’m surprised by how many sequels were better than the original. And I’m not surprised that the 3rd movie is never the best.

I tend to agree with pretty much everyone of Dan's assessments.

What do you think? In your opinion, did Meth (unfortunate last name, isn't it?) get any of movie ranks wrong? How would you rate films in other famous movie trilogies? (He didn't tackle Jurassic Park, Beverly Hills Cop, The Mummy, The Bourne Identity, Rush Hour, Final Destination, et al.)
