Will Smith celebrating more 'Independence Days'?

According to IESB, there's a rumor from a reliable source that Will Smith has agreed to not one, but two sequels to the highly successful action movie Independence Day.

Today's news seems to jive with a report last year on MTV that the ID4 was looking at creating two sequels set 14 years in the future from the first attacks when, presumably, the Earth is once again threatened by alien attack on or around July 4th.

The idea seems to be that Fox would film both movies back-to-back and stagger their release in some way to insure maximum box office return. And it's not like they are hurting for starting capital these days thanks to Avatar. What's not quite known is what the story will be and which surviving characters would return, save for Smith.

I don't know about you, but this news makes me giddy, where do I get in line? What about you?
