'Godfather' Trilogy Coming To DVD In October

The arguably best series of movies in film history will be available on DVD Oct. 9. The Godfather, The Godfather II, and The Godfather III are each featured in the "The Godfather DVD Collection" as well as a fifth disc of bonus materials. (The Godfather II spans across two discs because of its 200 minute running time.)

The movie discs will each be in widescreen format with Dolby Digital (5.1) audio. Each disc also contain a new audio commentary track by director Francis Ford Coppola.

Some of the extras included on the 3-hour bonus disc are: additional scenes, the Corleone family tree, storyboards, Oscar acceptance speeches, rehearsals and more.

No suggested retail price has been provided by Paramount Home Video, the publisher of the collection.
