Not to be outdone by John's opus on the movie holiday that is Halloween, I present to you Fangoria's list of the 25 Best Horror Movies of All Time.

Wired.com's Underwire blog (an excellent read, by the way) tapped the guys and gals at Fangoria to produce the best of the best scary movie list. Their set of 25 spans the years 1932 to 2009. I can't say there are any not worthy of inclusion.

Here is the full list in chronological order. Click over to Wired.com for commentary by the Fangoria staff. Any of these will be perfect viewing this Halloween weekend.

While I can't say any of these should be kicked out, there are a handful that one can argue deserve mention. First and foremost, The Shining. The Stephen King novel come to life is a bonafide horror classic.

There's also Hitchcock's Psycho. Reader comments on the story also cite Poltergeist, Alien, Event Horizon, Evil Dead 2, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Hellraiser as gross omissions.

As the Wired author says, "When it comes to horror movies, opinions are like ax holes. Nearly everybody's got one." That's very true and Jack Torrance's ax hole is perhaps the biggest in cinema history.

What do you think? What films should've been included on this list? Let us know.
