'On The Road' Again

Ok, so maybe this isn't a sequel report, but I just couldn't resist making a reference to the Willie Nelson classic to begin this story. Fans of Jack Kerouac's novel On The Road are finally getting their wish, a movie that aims to stay true to the novel.

Woo-hoo! But here's the bad news. Strong rumors are suggesting that Brad Pitt is the early morning favorite to play Sal Paradise (Kerouac's alter-ego). But fear not, inspired casting may prevail as it is also rumored that Billy Crudup is set to play Neal Cassady.

Either way, it's bound to be good. Francis Ford Coppola is producing, while Joel Schumacher will handle the directing duties.
