Last week, we teased that the first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises was beginning to turn up online in horrible shaky cam form. Well, today they finally released the trailer that debuted in front of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 all official like on Facebook.

Since Facebook doesn't allow for embedding very easily, the good folks over at The FilmStage were kind enough to make it available in a nice little embed that you can see below.

As far as teasers go, there's much more footage in this trailer than you'd typically find. Sure, most of it is rehashed from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but that's also the beauty of it. By using that footage and reinforcing it with words talking about an end to every journey, Christopher Nolan does a great job of tying all three of the movies together into a cohesive unit and to prime us to be ready to let go of this series after the conclusion of The Dark Knight Rises.

What did you think? The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters a year from now on July 20, 2012.
