Movies provide a clear guide for future survival

Allow me to quote The Cable Guy, "The future is now!"

No really, when we grew up watching movies, it seemed that "far off" future was always set around 2015 or so. Well, here we are in 2011 and we stand on the precipice of some pretty epic dystopian futures.

Thankfully though, whether we come across cyborgs out for human blood or aliens bent on world domination, the films of the past layout a nice blueprint on how to survive whatever possible future turns out to be true.

I came across this awesome infographic from Michael Hobson that /Film featured today that does a great job of laying out the potential pitfalls that lie ahead. There are some really great trends to note and Michael points out a couple at the top such as the violent trend in reality TV that is just around the corner.
