'Django' teaser poster is off the chain

You could say that the new teaser poster from Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film is whack.

Or dope.

Or groovy.

Or insert your own retread hip term from the past. But no matter how you describe it one thing is definitely true, it is off the chain. Literally.

Today brings the first teaser poster for Django Unchained and to say that it is quite striking would be an understatement. Quentin loves to make an impression with his posters and he's a huge fan to the throwback style of exploitation films and this poster looks to be a big homage to that style.

Personally, I see a lot of Alfred Hitchcock in it, Vertigo in particular.* Whatever the case, the poster is sure to grab your attention and that's sort of the point, no?

What do you think? As the poster mentions, Django Unchained will hit theaters on Christmas.

* I just remembered that the Vertigo poster and others like it were done by artist Saul Bass. It would appear that Quentin is using this poster as an homage to his work.
