If there's one thing that Quentin Tarantino does better than anything else, it's promoting his films. He's one of the best in the business in self-promotion because, well, I think he's genuinely in love with some Quentin Tarantino.

That and he knows his audience perfectly.

The teaser trailer from earlier this year was near perfect. At the time, I said Django Unchained was "everything I was hoping, but not expecting this movie to be."

If you can believe it, this full-length trailer just released is even better. It's got more of that trademark Tarantino charm which simply oozes throughout. Just when you think you have the takeaway line from the trailer, a better line comes down the pipe.

While the teaser trailer focused on main actors Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio, this one makes room for some great give and take from Samuel L. Jackson and, believe it or not, Jonah Hill of all people. Naturally, the three leads are a big focus in this one too, it's just that the scope of the film is opened up more.

To be honest, it's like the trailers are for two completely different films. And that's a good thing. I have a feeling that Django Unchained is going to be one of Quentin Tarantino's most ambitious films and, just by looking at his resumé, that says a lot.

Django Unchained starts mowing down the competition on Christmas Day.
