What is it with James Franco these days? It just seems like he's in every movie coming down the pipe.

Well, this is one performance that just might define him for generations to come. Much like Judy Garland and the original The Wizard of Oz, Mr. Franco might find his name eternally linked to another Oz film.

Ever since we saw the teaser trailer earlier this year, we've been intrigued about the project and today's full-trailer release for Oz: The Great and Powerful only serves to fan those flames. Following in the footsteps of such a classic film and a successful Broadway musical (Wicked), Oz: The Great and Powerful had pretty big shoes to fill and it looks like they finally found a story and look to rival the original film.

Set as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, Franco gives back story and life to the Oz character that we meet later on when the disenfranchisement of the situation has set in. But there's no sign of that here. No, this "Oz" in an idealistic young man who aspires to do great things.

And from the look of the trailer, great things do indeed lie ahead for the young men. The witches are set to shine yet again as Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz all look ready to set the screen ablaze with their performances.

Oz: The Great and Powerful hits theaters on March 8, 2013. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
