If you're a fan of Judd Apatow's Knocked Up, then I know that you're already excited about his upcoming film This is 40. For those of you not in the know, This is 40 is the sort of follow-up to Knocked Up that focuses on Pete and Debby.

You know, the somewhat supporting characters played by Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. Well, now they are getting their own film and director Judd Apatow took time to create this little red-band clip to help set up the film opening in theaters on December 21, 2012.

The film deals with a couple reaching the milestone age of 40 and the issues that arise with their intimacy after being together for 14 years and having a couple of kids. While there appears to be plenty of fun Apatow-style humor in the film, there also seems to be a bit of fragility that Apatow only hints at in Funny People.

So far, everything that we've seen from this film indicates that it will provide a nice balance of laughs with self-reflection. As Apatow and his audience ages, it's only natural that he will branch out into those issues that he faces on a daily basis. The fact that it's his wife and kids playing the characters only adds to the cathartic release.
