Here's the first look teaser from Pixar's 'Inside Out'

Pop quiz: what happened in 2014 that hasn't happened since 2005?

Well, this is a bit of a trick question since the answer has more to do with what didn't happen this year more than anything that did. This was the first calendar year since 2005 in which Pixar did not release a film.

Let that sink in for moment and then start to realize how spoiled we have been in the last 20 years. Don't worry though, Pixar plans to make up for it by releasing two films next year.

Today, we got our official first look at one of those films, Inside Out. The film centers on the emotions living inside a young girl's head. If that seems rather bizarre, I think you'll start to understand after you see this brief teaser trailer.

My only complaint is that I want to see more. The story reminds me a bit of the vastly underrated Osmosis Jones and that's a good thing.

Inside Out hits theaters on June 19, 2015, while the other Pixar film, The Good Dinosaur, unspools on November 25, 2015. It should be a banner year for Pixar as they also celebrate their 20th anniversary since the release of their first film Toy Story
