'Minions' goes pantless in Super Bowl ad

It's not unusual to see a Super Bowl that flagrantly flaunts sexuality in a vain attempt to sell us the latest phone/car/domain registration service. But, this is probably the first time that a band of yellow creatures disrobed all in the name of getting you out to see Minions.

Yes, it's a slow news week, but a slew of Super Bowl ads await us this weekend as we are sure to get our first look at many of this Summer's biggest films. Given that the game is being televised on NBC, which is affiliated with Universal Pictures, you can expect spots from Minions, Jurassic World, Fifty Shades of Grey and Ted 2, just to name a few.

Don't worry, we will have all of the Super Bowl film spots right here on the site Monday, but Universal was kind enough to give us a big game appetizer with this little nugget from Minions. I think the marketing for this film has been dead on and these little yellow buggers are set to earn a lot of dough for Universal this Summer.

Minions invades theaters on July 10.
