If you haven't heard of STX Entertainment, no one will blame you. It's a new film studio that just launched in 2014, but they broke onto the scene this year with a bang when their debut The Gift took in $44 million at the box office. So, you could say that the bar has been raised a bit for this little studio that could.

The next potential windfall for STX comes in the form of The Boy, which is a creepy old-school horror film due out on January 22, 2016. Lauren Cohan, she of The Walking Dead fame, takes the lead here as a nanny who is hired to watch a little boy while his parents are away.

Creepy old castle-like house? Check.

Bizarre occurrences? Check.

Potential supernatural forces? Check.

But, there's a twist. Not since Chucky has there been a film that will spook you in this way.

As a fan of The Walking Dead, I've been waiting for Lauren Cohan to have her breakout moment. It looks like The Boy might just be that hit that she's been waiting for.
