The 'Duke' To Debut On The Big Screen

OK, enough already. Quickly becoming the new "It" genre in movie making, another video game is getting ready to flood the box office. Duke Nukem, a first person shoot 'em all up game, is the latest entry in this rapidly increasing sub-genre.

Ironically, Duke Nukem is one of more violent video games on the market and has been criticized by the same anti-violence groups that now have their sights set on the movie industry. There's no script (but, honestly how much of one do you really need?) yet, but they're hoping to start filming this year. One possible storyline revolves around Duke as he travels deep into space to intercept an alien craft that is bent on taking over Earth. Presumably, just like the video game, Duke will be a one man force that overcomes all odds and wipes out all the bad guys with plenty of guts to spare. Ah, the synergy machine is starting to heat up...
