Crikey! 'Crocodile Hunter' Heads To Big Screen

The Animal Planet cable channel's own outrageous Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin is heading to Hollywood. The fearless Aussie best known for wrestling the dangerous reptiles will star in a film based on his own adventures for MGM.

According to Daily Variety, the film has already started shooting around Brisbane, Australia, where Irwin runs the Australia Zoo. Along with him, the movie stars his own wife and actors Magda Szubanski and David Wenham. No word has been made its intended release.

Hmmm, methinks "original" Australian croc man Paul Hogan (a.k.a. Crocodile Dundee) might have something to say about all this...
