After months of talks, ABC has welcomed comedian Caroline Rhea aboard to replace and take over 'The Rosie O'Donnell Show.'

The studio decided to change the name too. 'The Caroline Rhea Show' has been accepted by affiliates in New York, Philadelphia, San Fransicso, Houston and several other major markets.

Telepictures President Jim Paratore compared the change "to the passing of the baton from Jack Parr to Johnny Carson and then Carson's passing the torch to the current host Jay Leno."

"We think that Caroline will continue the advertiser-friendly franchise that Rosie started five successful years ago," Paratore continued.

Ms. Rhea exhibits the same kind of humor and attitude as Rosie. She is most known for her role as Aunt Hilda on the television series 'Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.' She is also a regular on the game show 'Hollywood Squares.'

Hopefully the audiences will just notice the change from brunette to blonde behind the desk.
