A Tale Of Two Hughes

Film audiences love biopics about eccentric individuals. Just look at the warm reception of A Beautiful Mind at the box office. And Howard Hughes was certainly an eccentric man.

So, it's no surprise that Hollywood is developing two competing biopics about the reclusive billionaire. Hollywood also likes things in twos. First, it was competing volcanoes. Then, it was dueling asteroids. Now, it's dueling germ freaks.

One project will star Leonardo DiCaprio as the main man and Martin Scorsese will be behind the camera calling the shots. The other movie features Jim Carrey in the starring role with Memento's Christopher Nolan set to direct.

In true Howard Hughes fashion, both projects are racing to get to the megaplex first.
