John Vernon ("The Incredible Hulk," "Matrix") stars as a kidnapped race-car driver, brainwashed into becoming an assassin against America, in the thriller Hunter. The race-car driver David Hunter (Vernon) is tortured through various means, including being forced to watch footage of winged monkeys from The Wizard of Oz, giving rise to the pop-culture phrase, "Please, stop the monkeys!" The 1973 made-for-television movie created by Emmy winner Bruce Geller ("Mannix," "Mission Impossible") also stars Steve Ihnat ("Gunsmoke"), Sabrina Scharf (Easy Rider) and Edward Binns ("Police Story," 12 Angry Men).
