Sebastien Laudenbach's utterly transporting, hand-painted masterpiece unfolds with the dream logic of a fairytale, taking you into the darker, primal origins of the Brothers Grimm's tales. In hard times, a miller sells his daughter to the Devil. Protected by her purity, she escapes, but in revenge, the Devil deprives her of her hands.
